Series of performances at Edinburgh Festival as final performances with Antony Dennant, rep Tchaik 4. Left due to increasing work as a freelance violinist in London.

Robin Browning:
changed the format of the entire year. SUSO gave 2 gigs before my time, Xmas and Easter. We changed to 6: doing two performances of each programme (often at diff venues) and adding sessions in the third term. • created the assistant conductor position • summer tours became far more ambitious. Early ones were to Prague, Hungary, Barcelona. Before that it was Glasgow once every 2 years, if that • began far more eclectic and ambitious repertoire, including in early seasons Mahler (1, 2, 5, 6, 9, 10) Bruckner (4, 7, 8 ) Shostakovich (5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15) Le Sacre (twice) etc etc
